myTulane Project Planning

In February 2007, Academic Technology Support Services launched planning activities to roll-out myTulane services starting in Summer 2007. MyTulane integrates three core web-based tools:

  1. An upgrade of the Blackboard Learning Management System to version 7.2,
  2. A web-based community gateway to e-services and customizable information resources,
  3. A university-wide content management system for digital file storage and sharing.

Due to the university-wide implementation of these tools and services, myTulane will be phased-in through pilot projects. Blackboard.com has been contracted as an Application Service Provider and will host the myTulane application off-site. In August, the existing Tulane Blackboard server will only be accessible to faculty for content retrieval and will remain available through Spring 2008.
