Subject: Announcing myTulane!
Technology Services is preparing to upgrade the Blackboard Course Management System with the introduction of myTulane, an integrated application that builds on the familiar Blackboard Course environment. In addition to providing new features that support the delivery of course content on-line, myTulane will also include a Community System and Content Management System.
These additional components will allow members of the Tulane community to customize information resources within a web interface and access e-services. The Content Management System will provide shared file access and storage among Blackboard courses and for administrative offices using the various information delivery modules. myTulane will also provide features to support individual ePortfolios.
This project is broad in scope and will require a staged introduction to the community. I am writing to introduce to you the project web site and invite you to submit comments and questions. Over the next few months staff from Academic Technology Support Services will provide follow-up communication and work with different members of the university community to make sure your transition to the myTulane environment is not disruptive.
